Workbench stores your portfolio data locally in Chrome. By default, it does not send your saved projects, templates, or notes to developer-operated servers.

Overview

Workbench is a Chrome extension that helps you save and organize portfolio project links and proposal templates. This policy describes how information is handled when you use Workbench.

Information Workbench processes

Workbench stores information you enter or save, including: project names, URLs, descriptions, categories, tags, optional thumbnail image URLs, proposal template names and content, per-project notes, UI preferences, and usage metadata stored with your items (for example, copy counts and timestamps). If you use Save to Workbench, the extension may temporarily store the page or link URL and page title to prefill a new project.

Where data is stored

By default, this data is stored locally on your device using Chrome extension storage. Workbench does not transmit your saved projects, templates, or notes to servers operated by the developer for storage or analytics.

Clipboard

When you choose a copy action, Workbench writes the selected link or text to your system clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere.

Opening links

When you open a project link or thumbnail URL, Chrome loads that content according to normal browser rules. Those websites have their own privacy practices.

Local backup and export

If you enable local backup or export, your data is written to files or folders you choose on your device. The developer does not receive those files.

Legacy migration

If you upgraded from an older version, Workbench may read previously stored data from Chrome’s storage APIs on your device to migrate it into the current local format.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains until you delete it in the extension, clear extension data in Chrome, or uninstall the extension (subject to how your browser handles extension data removal). You can delete individual items, clear all projects from Settings, or remove data by clearing site/extension data for Workbench in Chrome settings.

Children

Workbench is not intended for children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

The developer may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when it does.
