Information the extension processes

What we do not collect as a service

zenvis does not:

• Require an account or login
• Maintain a central database of URLs you visit
• Use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting unless you add such code yourself in a forked build

The published extension as described here performs its work locally in Chrome.

What may be processed on your device

When you use zenvis, the extension may process:

• Page URL and document structure of the active tab (and embedded frames where supported), only when you run a scan (for example by opening the side panel and refreshing the asset list), to discover asset references.
• Asset URLs (e.g. image, SVG, video, CSS-linked URLs) shown in the side panel.
• File contents temporarily in memory when you download, copy to clipboard, or build a ZIP—handled by Chrome and the extension, not uploaded to us by default.

Network activity

zenvis declares broad host permissions so it can fetch resources from arbitrary origins when needed for:

• Loading previews or metadata (e.g. size hints)
• Fetching assets for clipboard or download actions you trigger
• Building ZIP exports from the filtered list

Those requests go to the same hosts as the assets (typically the website you are visiting, or CDNs it uses), not to a dedicated “zenvis” backend unless you configure one yourself.

Some requests may fail due to the website’s security policies (CORS, CSP, authentication). The extension does not bypass those policies.

Permissions (Chrome)

tabs	Identify the active tab and open links when you choose actions such as “open in new tab”.
scripting	Inject the asset scanner into the active page (and frames) when you run a scan.
downloads	Save files and ZIP exports through Chrome’s download manager when you request a download.
sidePanel	Show the zenvis UI in Chrome’s side panel.
clipboardWrite	Copy image or SVG content when you use the copy actions.
host_permissions (<all_urls>)	Fetch asset URLs from any site your active tab may reference, for the features above.

Storage on your device

The extension may use local storage (for example localStorage) for UI preferences such as theme, grid layout, and similar settings. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us by the extension as shipped.

Children’s privacy

zenvis is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Open-source and forks

If you use a modified or third-party build of zenvis, that build may behave differently. This policy applies to the official extension as published by the operator named above.
